Mar Roxas: Extra-Judicial Killings Only Affect Poor People. MUST WATCH
It can be recalled that presidential candidate Mar Roxas, and President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte have been in too many heated arguments during the campaign period. They have exchanged accusations and views which the national debates encouraged. But after the election, and with over 16M votes went to Duterte, Mar Roxas is the first to concede and respectfully accept defeat.
But with pressing issues that continues to be thrown against Duterte, Roxas can’t help but to share his views, especially with the alleged extra-judicial killings that will herald the administration of President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte. He emphasized that the extra-judicial killings only affect poor people. He said in an interview, “Lahat ng mga extra-judicial na gawaing ito, ang talagang naaapektuhan nito ay iyung mga mahihirap. Kasi ang mayayaman, makakabili ng baril, makaka-hire ng security guard, makakuha ng resbak, may abogado. May access yung mayayaman sa ibang tulong.”
Duterte, despite the accusation, still promise to deliver his campaign of eradicating crimes within 3-6 months. This has been his winning mantra that caused a big margin in his votes against other candidates.
He is to take oath as the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines on June 30, 2016.
