Tito Sotto Responds To Bashers!

There are always two sides in every story and the best way to find out the truth is to hear both sides of it. Although sometimes, the best way to escape an untruth story is to ignore it at all because eventually people will be able to forget it as time goes by, there are still issues which should not be left unanswered and among those is the Halloween costume worn by Eat Bulaga host Senator Tito Sotto in the Halloween Episode of the longest running noontime show.
According to the host, he has been wearing the same costume for fifteen years now and he is still wishing to win it as the best Halloween costume for the show. In the said episode, he can be seen wearing a “thobe,” an Arab garment which is being used by Arab people in special occasions and even in praying. Because of this, several netizens gave their criticisms on apparently a “disrespectful” act of the television host and senator.

They believe that by wearing it as a Halloween costume, it sends a message for other people to be scared of it. But others are quick to defend the host that Halloween is the time of the year where one can be who or what she wanted to be through wearing a costume.

It took a while for the host to defend himself from the said criticism but he finally closed the issue by saying that the costume was given to him by Sheikh Shawaf of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and that by wearing it makes the giver smile so he wears it to give honor to him. This clarification was posted in his Instagram account last November 1, 2015 in the comments section of a photo of him wearing the thobe, with fellow Eat Bulaga host Alden Richards beside him.
