Mar Roxas is biggest political ad spender in 2015...Daang Magastos!
Nielsen figures sent to reporters Tuesday (January 5) by Office of the Vice President (OVP) media affairs head Joey Salgado showed that Liberal Party (LP) bet Roxas spent an accumulated P774,192,000 in radio, newspaper and television ads in 2015.
Vice President Jejomar Binay, chairman and standard-bearer of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) was a far second with P695,555,000 in ads expenditures.
Just behind the opposition leader was independent presidential bet Senator Grace Poe, with P694,603,000.
Meanwhile, PDP-Laban candidate Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte came in fourth, spending “only” P129,599,000 for advertisements.
Earlier, Salgado belied a Philippine Star report naming Binay as the number one spender for political ads in 2015. The report, which also cited Nielsen, took into account figures from January to November 2015 only.
